Who we are

Cinemantle is an independent project built by a small team of cinephiles based in France. You can reach us at onlycinephilesleftalive@gmail.com.

What we collect

We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect personal information. While you play, our backend temporarily processes your IP address for rate limiting and the TMDB IDs of movies you guess for scoring. None of this is linked to your identity, stored long-term, or sold.

We do not set tracking cookies. The site stores a small amount of data in your browser’s local storage (e.g., your theme preference and game progress) so the experience persists between visits. This data never leaves your device.

Third-party services

Movie data (titles, posters, metadata) comes from The Movie Database (TMDB). TMDB may collect standard request information when our server fetches data on your behalf. See their privacy policy for details.

The site is hosted on Google Cloud Run. Google may log standard request metadata (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for infrastructure operation.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, or erase any personal data we may hold about you. Because we do not collect or retain personal data beyond short-lived request logs, there is typically nothing to exercise these rights against. You may still contact us at the email above with any request.

Changes

We may update this policy occasionally. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
